Exclusive: Will the Tesla Cybertruck be called “Model P” in Global Markets?

Exclusive: Will the Tesla Cybertruck be called “Model P” in Global Markets?

By Edward A. Sanchez – July 21, 2021

This is an unexpected twist in the saga of the Tesla Cybertruck. Since its official unveiling, it has been assumed the Tesla Cybertruck will be called just that. However, based on an invoice generated by a TWC reader based in the U.K. that just reserved a Cybertruck, comes the possibility that the production version of the Cybertruck might actually be called “Model P.”

Based on the invoice generated after the reservation, the model designation is clearly shown as “Model P.” I know some of you may think I’m just yanking your chain, and this is an elaborate photoshop hoax, but I can assure you the invoice is authentic, with personal information removed for privacy.

A pre-order invoice from the U.K. appears to designate the Telsa Cybertruck as the Model P.

Whether this model designation is specifically for the U.K. or European markets only, or if this will apply globally, we don’t know. Cybertruck reservations have been open in the U.S. for more than a year, and this is the first we’ve heard of this designation officially.

If you have any insight into this, or are a Cybertruck reservation holder yourself, please contact us at hello@thewattcar.com, and let us know.
